Ingredients :-

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Cooked spaghetti or pasta of your choice, for serving

Instructions :-

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and gently pound them to an even thickness, about 1/2 inch thick. Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. Set up three shallow bowls or dishes. In the first bowl, place the flour. In the second bowl, beat the eggs. In the third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, dried basil, and garlic powder.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
