About Lasagna :-

Lasagna is a traditional Italian dish that has a rich history dating back several centuries. Its origins can be traced to ancient Rome, although the dish has evolved and transformed over time.

The word “lasagna” is derived from the Greek word “laganon,” which referred to a flat sheet of pasta dough. The Romans adopted this type of pasta and created their own version of the dish, which included layers of pasta sheets, sauce, and various fillings.

In ancient Rome, lasagna was not made with tomatoes, as tomatoes were not introduced to Europe until the 16th century. Instead, the pasta was layered with meat, cheese, and spices. The dish was cooked in ovens, similar to modern-day lasagna.

Today, lasagna remains a classic and cherished Italian dish, appreciated for its comforting and satisfying qualities. It continues to be prepared and enjoyed in countless variations, showcasing the creativity and versatility of Italian cuisine.
